Why should humanity continue to exist?
This is the provocative question that Daniel Christian Wahl seeks to answer in this book.
It is through key questions that the author guides us towards a change in perception of the world we live in: from Cartesian thinking to a systemic view, from the isolation of a nutshell to interdependence and “Interbeing,” from mediocrity to the Human Being we truly are.
Breaking away from inadequate thought patterns that no longer suit the current reality of the human species on Planet Earth, and believing in education, design, and community life, Wahl presents a vision of how we can stop chasing the ‘mirage’ of certainty and control in a complex and unpredictable world.
A globally recognized thinker and activist, Daniel Wahl presents collaborative projects and innovative tools that inspire us to change our lifestyles and business strategies in ways that revitalize our natural and economic ecosystems.
“Daniel Wahl’s book is a valuable contribution to the important discussion about the worldview and value system we need to redesign our businesses, economies, and technologies – in fact, our entire culture – to make them regenerative, rather than destructive.” – Fritjof Capra
“This book is a treasure for everyone looking for a guide to more sustainable living and a roadmap to redesigning our society, regenerating our communities and cities in harmony with the natural systems of our planet.” – Hazel Henderson
“This is one of the most exciting and inspiring books I have read in recent years. I felt like I was drinking with pleasure and surprise, not knowing what I was so thirsty for. It’s an invitation to trust, openness, and a restructuring of the mind.” – Joanna Macy
