The book by Dayana Andrade and Felipe Pasini is deeply connected to the theme of regeneration, particularly the integral and syntropic regeneration of ecosystems.
It presents a broad understanding of life in Syntropy, based on Ernst Götsch’s vision of the constant flow of Life and the function of every species, every living being, and every particle in fulfilling specific tasks, in alignment with the “instrumental strategy” of Planet Earth.
On one hand, this book, through the hands of Dayana Andrade and Felipe Pasini, offers a profound philosophical and ethical explanation of Ernst Götsch’s thinking. On the other hand, it provides a foundation for knowledge about Syntropic Agriculture and its application in various contexts.
This syntropic cradle, inspired by Götsch—fertile, promising, intertwined, and complex—prepares us to understand that it is still possible for our planet to “be.”
We are called to act, promoting a convergence of reason, ethics, respect, and the sacred, acknowledging that perhaps we have come to fulfill a role—to syntropically “be.”
While the book has not undergone exhaustive revision for European Portuguese, in order to preserve the lively and original expression of Dayana and Felipe’s communication, we made several orthographic and syntactical adjustments to offer a more natural and fluid reading experience for Portuguese readers. The bibliography has been maintained in the footnotes, as in the Brazilian version, but we also compiled it in alphabetical order at the end of the book for better reference and research.
Graphically, we emphasized the TAO, the graphic representation of Ernst Götsch’s principles of Syntropic Agriculture, to provide greater visual comfort for the reader.
We also added valuable testimonials from people and organizations in Portugal who are familiar with the use of Syntropic Agriculture and who know Ernst Götsch, Dayana Andrade, and Felipe Pasini personally.
We hope this book not only helps to understand syntropy but also inspires other territories to take action.
